Booking Pauline for your Literary Event

The author is available to speak to groups, clubs and societies about being a professional writer and writing for publication.

The Author Talk (one hour) explores the writing process, from making notes to writing the final draft, then through publication, with editing, galley proofs, and the all important choice of cover design. There is a Powerpoint slide show, brief readings from work-in-progress and always time for questions and answers.  There is usually an opportunity to buy books and have them signed.

Schools and Libraries

  One-hour Author Talk as above, for your Assembly or Book Week event.   

   A whole day/half day Author Visit , planned together with school or library staff.

 Suggested activities:  

 Writing Workshops 

NB No more than 4 sessions a day.  For intensive writing and editing, groups of up to 15 works well, with teacher and/or TA support.

             ·   How to find ideas - making notes, writing diaries

            ·  'In Someone Else's Shoes’  - finding a point of view.

            ·   Plot webs and hot seats - how to create plot and develop a character

            ·   Editing and re drafting your story.
